Sure enough, Roxana had been taken to Iasi this morning for her first cleft surgery. Today was Lea-Celine’s birthday! She was having a pretty cranky day, but we put her in her birthday outfit, and celebrated with cake and candles before naptime. Celine wasn’t that impressed, but the other kids had fun. I played around with the other kids with the bow that was supposed to go with Celine’s outfit that she did not want. Daniela liked the bow, but Alina hated it. I spent a lot of the day with Denisa and the other non-mobiles. After lunch I spent a bunch of time with Maria, and even carried her around the hall and brought her into the non-mobile room, which was great for her. The most exciting part of the afternoon was the arrival of a new baby! Victor is three months old, and he has a congenital cerebral malformation. After work we went into Barlad for dinner and a chance to meet up with some of Mihaela’s students. They took us to a café-type place, and we were able to get to know them, which was fun. After that we went to the Alona for dinner, then the Interex for groceries.
