Days 2, 3, and 4: Highlights

Day Two: Today we celebrated the birthdays of Mihaela, Gabriela, and Marius. After their noon bottle we got them dressed up in birthday outfits, then brought all the mobiles, volunteers, and aides into the entryway to have the party. Jane had even brought a Happy Birthday banner and colorful plates! We sang to each child individually, and Mihaela danced on the couch the whole time. The children, and us, thought the cake was delicious.

Day Three: Today Ion came back from his heart checkup, and everything went well (we think). We also received a new baby, Raul. Raul has Epidermolysis Bullosa, and seems to have a pretty severe case. I spent most of day three with him in the isolation room. They have instituted more safety precautions for the isolation room due to the severity of his infections. He started pain medicine on Day Four, and has been getting ointment on his body to help his skin stay together since he got here. We went into Barlad for dinner at the Alona and some shopping. We got to have veggie sarmales, yum!

Day Four: Today was the first day we were able to take the kids outside! The mobiles went out in the morning, and all of us went out in the afternoon. I took Daria Roxana in the front carrier, and Ionut in the stroller (I have slowly taken him back out of his isolation). Roxana slept the whole time, and Ionut was not really a fan. He didn't like the sun, or the fact that the stroller didn't lie down, or if I stopped moving, but otherwise he was happy haha. Even Maria Cleopatra made it outside for a while! Petre started crawling forward today, and is sitting for short periods of time alone. We also dressed the identical twins in the outfits I brought for them today (I thought I was going to be here on their birthday, but it is actually later than I thought).
