With half the team away, the rest of us decided to relax in Tutova over the weekend. Friday afternoon the three of us, plus Malika, managed to bring all the babies and toddlers outside! We were exhausted by the end of the day, but it was great to have them all outside in the nice weather! We spent Saturday relaxing at the hotel, and catching up on sleep. On Sunday morning we went over to the clinic for a few hours. During the few hours we were there, Daria's father and brother visited, and Andreea's extended family visited. Today was another beautiful day, but some of the kids were feeling under the weather. Many of the kids were coughing and sneezing, and a few had fevers. I spent the morning mostly with Daria and Nicoleta who pretty much cried nonstop. The non-mobile playroom had a leak from the sink, so while it was being fixed the babies and volunteers had to squish into the pre-school room. Nicoleta was feverish all day, coughing/sneezing, did not want to eat, and they could not find veins for an IV on her, so she was sent to Barlad Children's Hospital in the afternoon. Hopefully we will be able to visit her later this week! The other children likely have the same virus, it's not a serious one, but her body is just too small to fight it as well as the others, so she will require more intervention.
